THE IDEA

The client for this project was a personal trainer who also provided health coaching. Meaning that nutrition was just as important as physical fitness. It was these two ideas that needed to be communicated through the logo.

I created a logo that not only exudes the idea of progress, the key for any health program, but also integrated the name of the client within the mark.

THE PROCESS

The design process was influenced by two criteria. First, the clients desire to have a monogram theme to the logo, using the initials of the name. Second, was the need to show the inherent value of using the service: progress. These were the guiding principles for logo development.

THE BRAINSTORM

The logos explored a range of identities, but started to settle on the idea of analytics and more specifically a bar chart. One that was gradually increasing, but showing clear progress. This idea symbolized the value of the client in both physical fitness and nutrition.

The later iterations (seen below) bring together this idea in a way that promotes both stability, as well as energy.
