Denovo Group is a data analytics company focused on the business intelligence space. The challenge for this project was to effectively communicate what this means.

Business Intelligence is a mixture of data, analytics, and design, smashed together into a not so neat package that serves any businesses needs.

The project was centered around creating a web design that not only communicated a clearer definition of this idea, but also demonstrated Denovo’s expertise in the space.

THE PROCESS

The primary medium of communication came through visuals that demonstrated what could be done. I used a variety of media, from mockups to data visualizations, to explain capabilities, expertise, and process. All of it forming a unified story around data and design.

This effort was a huge success for the company as it showed the emphasis they placed on both design and development. A perspective even more important in a domain largely run by technical individuals.

There is often a major gap between IT and business users. One only views things from a functional perspective, while the users are more concerned with usability.

Communicating that they could fill this gap was essential and led to winning business of several major clients down the line.
